Student Research Internship

  • Innovative research team of ten Pacific Islanders across a 8-week program covering data collection in a greenhouse to data analyzing with R Studio. We worked as a cohort to build 5 posters to present at UH’s 2023 undergraduate summer research symposium. Included weekly field trips to non-profit organizations, and research extensions where we got a chance to network with potential employers and members of the community.

  • STEM Scholar- Creating leaders in the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Island communities through academic excellence in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • FP404- Mentoring two students from Lana’i High School with their STEM senior project. During weekly meetings I guide them on their Ma’i Project, where they are increasing access to feminine hygiene products on campus.
